Calera drops tournament opener against Pleasant Grove

The Calera High School girls’ basketball team fell to Pleasant Grove 57-39 in its opening game of the Hoops for Hope tournament Dec. 29 in Chelsea.
Tyesha Haynes and A’Kia Harris led the Eagles (6-5) with 16 points each.
