The Calera High School girls’ basketball team defeated Cordova 51-28 in the Hoops for Hope tournament Dec. 30 at Chelsea.

Tyesha Haynes led the Eagles with a game-high 23 points in the victory.

Haynes also recorded seven steals, four rebounds and four assists in the win.
