Hornets fall to Gulf Shores in tournament opener

The Chelsea High School boys’ basketball team fell to Gulf Shores 68-65 in overtime in its opening game in the Catfish Junction Christmas Invitational tournament Dec. 28 in Saraland.

Dantavius Washington led the Hornets with a game-high 31 points. Washington also grabbed a team-high 28 rebounds to finish with career highs in both scoring and rebounding.

Jake Ganus added 17 points.
