Lions win consolation game in tournament

The Briarwood Christian School girls’ basketball team defeated Booker T. Washington 45-36 in a consolation game Dec. 29 in the Logan Martin Shootout tournament in Pell City.

Abbie Cutcliffe led the Lions (10-3) with 18 points in the victory.

Cara Medders added 11 points and dished out a team-high five assists in the win. Samantha Swords contributed eight points and seven rebounds.
