The Shelby County High School boys’ basketball team edged Montevallo 52-48 in its final game in the Champion Sports Medicine Shootout event Dec. 29 in Calera.

Tyler Madison led the Wildcats with a game-high 25 points in the victory. Madison also grabbed 11 rebounds to finish with a double-double.

Brandon McKinney also registered a double-double with 14 points and a team-high 14 rebounds in the win.

Garrius Chappell led the Bulldogs with 18 points. Korey Cunningham added 11 points.
