Spain Park wrestlers finish third in consolation round

The Spain Park High School wrestling team finished third in its consolation round following the Deep South Bayou Duals tournament Dec. 29-30 in Brusly, La.

The Jaguars defeated Arlington (Tenn.) 68-11 in the third-place match. Twelve Spain Park wrestlers won individual matches against Arlington.

Elijah Krukowski of Spain Park earned a 15-0 technical fall over Charles Kohn of Arlington in the 106-pound match. Tommy Bostany of Spain Park pinned John Craft of Arlington in 20 seconds in the 120-pound match.

Andres Galindo of Spain Park pinned Austin Gansman of Arlington in 3:00 in the 126-pound match. Leon Strong of Spain Park earned a 11-9 decision over Thomas Daniels of Arlington in the 138-pound match.

Marcus Jackson of Spain Park pinned Quinton Brown of Arlington in 1:59 in the 145-pound match. Dillon Osborne of Spain Park pinned Marvin Richardson of Arlington in 2:44 in the 152-pound match.

Levi McClure of Spain Park pinned Sean-Thomas Fortner of Arlington in 3:13 in the 160-pound match. Daman Hall of Spain Park won his 170-pound match by forfeit.

Blake Daniel of Spain Park pinned Cory Cochran of Arlington in 1:58 in the 182-pound match. Kameron Ricks of Spain Park pinned Adnan Osman of Arlington in 1:13 in the 195-pound match.

Mo Mills of Spain Park won his 220-pound match by forfeit. Zachary Williams of Spain Park won his heavyweight match by forfeit.

The Jaguars finished with one pool win in five matches.

Spain Park defeated Zachary (La.) 51-30 in its final pool match. Krukowski, Bostany, Galindo, Strong, Osborne, McClure, Daniel, Ricks and Mills each won matches for the Jaguars.

Spain Park fell to Comeaux (La.) 45-29 in its first pool match. Bostany, Strong, McClure, Daniel, Mills and Ricks each won matches for the Jaguars.

Spain Park fell to Clay (Fla.) 57-19 in its second pool match. Bostany, Daniel, Ricks and Williams each won matches for the Jaguars.

Spain Park fell to Cordova (Tenn.) 55-22 in its third pool match. Krukowski, Bostany, Galindo and Mills each won matches for the Jaguars.

Spain Park fell to Jesuit (La.) 47-18 in its fourth pool match. Bostany, Hall and Mills each won matches for the Jaguars.

Spain Park defeated Saint Louis (La.) 42-36 in its quarterfinal match in the consolation round. Krukowski, Bostany, Strong, Jackson, Osborne, Daniel, Ricks and Mills each won matches for the Jaguars.

Spain Park fell to Auburn 41-40 in its semifinal match in the consolation round. Bostany, Osborne, McClure, Daniel, Hall, Ricks and Mills each won matches for the Jaguars.

Ricks led the Jaguars with five pins in the tournament.

Bostany added four pins. Osborne and Daniel contributed three pins each.

Krukowski, Jackson, McClure, Galindo and Mills finished with two pins each. Strong had one pin.
