The Pelham High School girls’ basketball team edged Hueytown 39-37 in high school basketball action Jan. 3.

Sydney Days led the Panthers (13-2) with a game-high 13 points in the victory.

Days also dished out four assists and finished with three steals in the win.

BOYS

The Pelham High School boys’ basketball team defeated Hueytown 49-42 in high school basketball action Jan 3.

Qadash Williams led the Panthers (11-6) with a game-high 14 points in the victory.

Willie Simpson and Xavier Lacey added 12 points each in the win.
