The Montevallo High School boys’ basketball team defeated Northside 62-56 in an Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 3A, Area 7 contest Jan. 10.

Garrius Chappell led the Bulldogs with a game-high 26 points.

Korey Cunningham added 14 points. Trevor Chatham chipped in 10 points in the win.

GIRLS

The Montevallo High School girls’ basketball team defeated Northside 33-31 in an Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 3A, Area 7 contest Jan. 10.

Kiah Smith led the Bulldogs with 12 points in the victory.

Kayla Cunningham added eight points. Miya Farrington chipped in six points.

Myshael Thompson contributed four points. Alex Bolton finished with three points.
