The Thompson High School boys’ basketball team defeated Oak Mountain 59-22 in an Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 6A, Area 10 contest Jan. 13.

Kenny Nabors led the Warriors (15-6 overall, 1-1 in Class 6A, Area 10) with 14 points in the victory.

Duke Thomas recorded a double-double with 13 points and a team-high 11 rebounds.

Demarcus Threatt finished with 10 points and six rebounds to go along with a team-high five steals in the win.

GIRLS

The Thompson High School girls’ basketball team defeated Oak Mountain 51-31 in an Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 6A, Area 10 contest Jan. 13.

Katie Guiser led the Warriors (11-9 overall, 1-1 in Class 6A, Area 10) with 18 points in the victory.

Rachel Lawley added 14 points in the win.

Madison Pierce led Oak Mountain (14-6 overall, 1-1 in Class 6A, Area 10) with 12 points.
