The Calera High School girls’ basketball team defeated Tarrant 47-32 in an Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 4A, Area 8 contest Jan. 17.

Perri Duncan led the Eagles (10-7 overall, 4-1 in Class 4A, Area 8 ) with a game-high 17 points in the victory.

Tyesha Haynes added 14 points. A’Kia Harris posted a double-double with 11 points and a team-high 12 rebounds in the win.
