The Calera High School wrestling team dropped a pair of wrestling matches against Fultondale and Minor in high school wrestling action Jan. 19.

Calera fell to Fultondale 60-24. Four Eagles won individual matches against Fultondale.

Cody Thomaston of Calera pinned Brandon Gourley of Fultondale in 3:00 in the 152-pound match. Coby Mize of Calera pinned Mitchell Holcomb of Fultondale in 45 seconds in the 160-pound match.

Kevin Murry of Calera pinned Blaine Vickery of Fultondale in 1:55 in the heavyweight match. Danny Diaz of Calera won his 220-pound match by forfeit.

The Eagles fell to Minor 60-15. Three Calera wrestlers won individual matches against Minor.

Thomaston earned a 6-0 decision over Barry Shears of Minor in the 152-pound match. Mize pinned Royshad Mack of Minor in 30 seconds in the 160-pound match.

Murry won his Reginald Johnson of Minor in 2:20 in the heavyweight match.
