The Spain Park High School boys’ basketball team defeated Homewood 58-38 in an Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 6A, Area 12 contest Jan. 24.

Blake Dudchock and Robby Prater led the Jaguars (17-9 overall, 4-1 in Class 6A, Area 12) with 12 points each in the victory.

Dudchock, who finished 5-of-7 shooting from the floor, also grabbed a team-high seven rebounds. Prater, who finished 4-of-8 from the floor, including 2-of-4 from beyond the arc, dished out two assists.

Eric Washington added 11 points and three rebounds to go along with a team-high five assists and four steals. Rembert Martin chipped in seven points.

Deion Wright contributed four points and three rebounds. Dillon Tincher finished with three points.

Brandon Miller, Austin Jones, Jonathan Troulias and John Elliot finished with two points each. Drew Morgan added one point.

GIRLS

The Spain Park High School girls’ basketball team defeated Homewood 67-42 in an Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 6A, Area 12 contest Jan. 24.

Ashley Gaston and Whitney Gulledge led the Jaguars (17-10 overall, 4-1 in Class 6A, Area 12) with 13 points each.
