The Shelby County High School wrestling team dropped matches against McAdory and Pinson Valley in high school wrestling action Jan. 31.

The Wildcats fell to McAdory 54-30. Five Shelby County wrestlers won individual matches against McAdory.

Chase Weeks of Shelby County pinned Richard Martinez of McAdory in the 152-pound match. Dylan Grantham of Shelby County pinned James Segars of McAdory in the heavyweight match.

A.J. Cole of Shelby County won his 120-pound match by forfeit. Tyler Carter of Shelby County won his 126-pound match by forfeit.

Austin Poe of Shelby County won his 145-pound match by forfeit.

Shelby County dropped a match against Pinson Valley 78-4.

Weeks earned an 8-0 major decision over Cory Taylor of McAdory in the 152-pound match.
