Rhonda Carroll Lewis, age 76, of Chelsea passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012 at her home. She attended Pelham Church of God. She was born Feb. 2, 1936 to the late Luther Carroll and Rosie Carroll in Chilton County. She is survived by her lifetime friend, Johnny Hudgins; daughters, Charlotte Dobbs (Jimmy) and Carol Grier (Bill); sons, Gary McSherdon (Pat), Randy McSherdon (Lynn), Freddie McSherdon (Felisa) and Damon Lewis (Allyson); sisters, Wilda Jackson, Betty Jean Kreh (Bill), Olene Rich (Lonnie) and Joyce Ann Hudgins; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. at Vandiver Church of God, 1347 Shelby County 43, Vandiver, on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, with a funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. at the church. Interment will be at Vincent Revival Center Cemetery, 6121 Shelby County 85, Vincent. Brothers David Houston and Mitch Underwood will be officiating.
