Members of the Pelham City Council will begin interviewing candidates for the council’s open seat at 6 p.m. instead of 7 p.m. tonight.

The council originally was scheduled to hear a presentation “regarding (the city’s) staffing and workload analysis,” from ICMA Research and Development Director Leonard Matarese at 5:30 p.m., but a scheduling conflict will prevent Matarese from presenting tonight, said Pelham City Clerk Tom Seale.

As a result of canceling Matarese’s presentation, the council will now interview the 10 candidates from 6-8:45 p.m. instead of 7-9:45 p.m. The candidates are vying for the vacant City Council position left after former council member Mike Dickens resigned his seat to become the Pelham Municipal Court Administrator.
