Eagles edge Hoover in tennis match

The Oak Mountain High School boys’ tennis team edged Hoover 5-4 in high school tennis action Feb. 21.

The Eagles (2-1) won three singles’ matches and two doubles’ matches against Hoover.

Preston Touliatos of Oak Mountain defeated Christian Lyerly of Hoover 10-6 in the No. 1 singles’ match. Kyle Ehlers of Oak Mountain topped Hayden Clowers of Hoover 10-5 in the No. 2 singles’ match.

Hunter Dodson of Oak Mountain fell to Alimash Ananth of Hoover 11-9 in the No. 3 singles’ match. Cody Ehlers of Oak Mountain defeated Michael Maynard of Hoover 10-5 in the No. 4 singles’ match.

J.K. Keasler of Oak Mountain fell to Raj Patel of Hoover 10-8 in the No. 5 singles’ match. Brian Deason of Oak Mountain fell to John Charles Nicholas of Hoover 10-4 in the No. 6 singles’ match.

Touliatos and Dodson defeated Lyerly and Clowers of Hoover 10-7 in the No. 1 doubles’ match. Kyle Ehlers and Kody Ehlers of Oak Mountain defeated Maynard and Tripp White of Hoover 10-5 in the No. 2 doubles’ match.

Keasler and Deason fell to Patel and M. Hasen of Hoover 10-6 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.
