Hornets fall to Holtville

After an opening night victory Monday night, the Chelsea High School baseball team was overpowered by Holtville 16-3 in its second game of the season Feb. 21.
Holtville jumped on the Hornets early, scoring one run in the first and five runs in both the second and third innings. Holtville would later add one run in the fourth and four runs in the sixth inning.
Austin Dean, Joey Mock and Matthew Graben each had one hit for the Hornets.
Keelan Gregg started on the mound and gave up six runs, including two earned runs, on three hits with five strikeouts and four walks.
Christian Emmerke, Brody Holder and Graben combined to pitch four innings.
