The Montevallo High School baseball team defeated West Blocton 17-1 in high school baseball action Feb. 27.

Taylor Burr led the Bulldogs at the plate as he went 3-for-5 with two doubles and drove in four runs.

Chase Hamrick finished 2-for-4 at the plate and drove in four runs. Eric Smith finished 3-for-4 at the plate.

Zack Smith went 4-for-5 at the plate with a double. Zack Sweat finished 3-for-3. Preston Burns went 2-for-4.

Jonathan Pintaro earned the win on the mound after giving up just one earned run on one hit with seven strikeouts and three walks in five innings in a complete-game victory.
