Samuel Jay Denson, 59, of Vandiver passed away Feb. 27, 2012. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Feb. 29 at 5:30 p.m. at Vandiver Church of God. Funeral service will be Thursday, March 1 at 3:30 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Union Hill Cemetery, Vandiver.

Mr. Denson is preceded in death by his parents, James and Lyndell Denson; brothers, Harold Deason and James Denson; and son, Christopher Jay Denson. He is survived by his wife, Sharon A. Denson; son, Ted Denson (Kelli); daughter, Jennifer B. Brown (Don); Brother, David Ewing; sisters, Polly Duke and Betty Walker; and grandchildren, Christi-Paige Blankenship, Karli D. Blankenship, Brooke Denson and Brayden Denson.
