Mrs. Theo D. Lowery, 90, of Columbiana passed away March 2, 2012. Mrs. Lowery served her country from 1941 until 1945 in the United States Coast Guard. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Lowery; grandsons David Lowery, Greg Douglas Jr. and Craig Lowery; sister, Evelyn Sullivan; and brother, Cyril Jones.

She is survived by her son, Terry Lowery (Linda), Tuscaloosa; daughters, Sherry Leslie (John), Montevallo, and Theresa Klavenga, Birmingham; brother, Clifton Jones (Pauline), Warrior; sister, Dean Jones, Cullman; grandchildren, Jeff Lowery, April Deason (Donnie), Kevin Leslie (Dana), Neal Roe (Tyler), Mike Roe (Katrina) Josh Roe (Delana) and Tristen Klavenga; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family would also like to give special mention to Charles Roe, Paulette Smitherman, Debbie Jones, Patti Cunningham, Dylan Hodge and Scotty Lawrence.

Mrs. Lowery visitation was on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, from 11-noon at Rockco Funeral Home Montevallo with a graveside service at 2 p.m. that day at Highland Memorial Gardens Bessemer. Family request donations to Hospice of West Alabama in lieu of flowers. Please visit us at Rockcofuneralhomes.com.
