The Briarwood Christian School baseball team defeated Sylacauga 7-2 in an Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 5A, Area 7 contest March 6.

Carter Tyra led the Lions (8-3) as he went 2-for-2 at the plate. Tyra drove in two runs in the victory.

Cole Pearson finished 1-for-4 and drove in a run. Matthew Furuto went 1-for-4 and drove in a run. Ben Craft, who drove in a run and scored a run, went 1-for-3 with a homerun.

Tanner Cunningham finished 1-for-3 at the plate and scored three runs. Will Brown went 1-for-1 and scored a run.

Cameron Adams earned the win on the mound after giving up two runs, including one earned run, on two hits with five strikeouts and a walk in a complete-game victory.
