Panthers top Tuscaloosa County in tennis match

The Pelham High School girls’ tennis team defeated Tuscaloosa County 8-1 in high school tennis action March 6.

The Panthers won five of six singles’ matches and all three doubles’ matches against Tuscaloosa County.

Sidney Garner of Pelham defeated Talli Archibald of Tuscaloosa County 10-1 in the No. 1 singles’ match. Sarah Beth Dolinger of Pelham defeated Taylor Hughes of Tuscaloosa County 10-2 in the No. 2 singles’ match.

Katie Kema of Pelham defeated Caitlyn Pennington of Tuscaloosa County 10-5 in the No. 3 singles’ match. Brooke Cole of Pelham defeated Frances Smith of Tuscaloosa County 10-4 in the No. 4 singles’ match.

Whitney Hamner of Pelham fell to Sydney Duncan of Tuscaloosa County 10-9 (7-4) in the No. 5 singles’ match. Elizabeth Hartzog of Pelham defeated Sinclair Gibson of Tuscaloosa County 10-0 in the No. 6 singles’ match.

Garner and Kema defeated Archibald and Hughes 10-5 in the No. 1 doubles’ match. Dolinger and Cole defeated Pennington and Duncan 10-3 in the No. 2 doubles’ match.

Hamner and Hartzog defeated Smith and Gibson 10-3 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.

BOYS

The Pelham High School boys’ tennis team defeated Tuscaloosa County 9-0 in high school tennis action March 6.

Trevor Tucker of Pelham defeated Luke Lollar of Tuscaloosa County 10-4 in the No. 1 singles’ match. Peyton Davis of Pelham defeated Seth Green of Tuscaloosa County 10-4 in the No. 2 singles’ match.

Jacob Dolinger of Pelham defeated Hunter Ford of Tuscaloosa County 10-4 in the No. 3 singles’ match. Anthony DeLeonard of Pelham defeated Adam Pisarsky of Tuscaloosa County 10-7 in the No. 4 singles’ match.

Joseph Aldereti of Pelham defeated Jordan Harris of Tuscaloosa County 10-1 in the No. 5 singles’ match. Trent Hopton-Jones of Pelham defeated Will Bomar of Tuscaloosa County 10-1 in the No. 6 singles’ match.

Tucker and Dolinger defeated Lollar and Ford 10-2 in the No. 1 doubles’ match. DeLeonard and Alderete defeated Green and Pisarsky 10-6 in the No. 2 doubles’ match.

Davis and Hopton-Jones defeated Harris and Bomar 10-3 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.
