The Briarwood Christian School softball team defeated Benjamin Russell 3-0 in high school softball action March 6.

Morgan Reed led the Lions at the plate as she went 1-for-4 with a triple. Reed also had two stolen bases and scored a pair of runs in the victory.

Rachel Walz, who stole one base, went 2-for-3 at the plate and drove in a run. Natalie Kidd finished 1-for-3 at the plate and drove in a run. Savannah Kolb went 1-for-2 at the plate.

Reed earned the win in the circle after giving up just four hits with 14 strikeouts in a complete-game victory.
