The Pelham High School boys’ tennis team defeated rival Thompson 9-0 in high school tennis action March 7.

Trevor Tucker of Pelham defeated Tyler Shaw of Thompson 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 1 singles’ match. Peyton Davis of Pelham defeated Cameron Faulkner of Thompson 6-2, 6-1 in the No. 2 singles’ match.

Jacob Dolinger of Pelham defeated Tony Pendleton of Thompson 0-6, 6-1, 10-8 in the No. 3 singles’ match. Anthony DeLeonard of Pelham defeated Jared Cowsar of Thompson 6-3, 3-6, 10-4 in the No. 4 singles’ match.

Trent Hopton-Jones of Pelham defeated Clay Anthony of Thompson 6-3, 5-7, 10-4in the No. 5 singles’ match. Joseph Alderete of Pelham defeated Chris Thomas of Thompson 6-4. 6-0 in the No. 6 singles’ match.

Jered Scarbrough of Pelham defeated Langnes 10-3 in an exhibition singles’ match. Jackson Jones of Pelham defeated Mike Thomas of Thompson 10-0 in an exhibition singles’ match.

Asher Smiley and Devon Austin of Pelham defeated James Thomas and Mike Thomas of Thompson 10-0 in an exhibition doubles’ match.

GIRLS

Victoria Killingsworth of Thompson defeated Katie Kema of Pelham 6-2, 6-1 in the No. 3 singles’ match. Maria Siow of Thompson defeated Brooke Cole of Pelham 6-1, 7-6 (10-6) in the No. 4 singles’ match.

Olivia Sorrell of Thompson defeated Whitey Hamner of Pelham 7-5, 4-6 (10-4) in the No. 5 singles’ match. Anna Conn of Thompson defeated Elizabeth Hartzog of Pelham 6-2, 6-4 in the No. 6 singles’ match.
