The Briarwood Christian School boys’ tennis team defeated Hewitt-Trussville 5-4 in high school tennis action March 13.

Griffin Russell of Briarwood Christian fell to Zac Barnes of Hewitt-Trussville 9-8 (7-2) in the No. 1 singles’ match. Russell Hancock of Briarwood Christian defeated Noah Tipper of Hewitt-Trussville 8-4 in the No. 2 singles’ match.

Philip Taylor of Briarwood Christian fell to Mitchell Hester of Hewitt-Trussville 9-8 (9-7) in the No. 3 singles’ match. Daniel Kuyk of Briarwood Christian defeated fell to Pete Harmon of Hewitt-Trussville 8-2 in the No. 4 singles’ match.

Lukas Castellanos of Briarwood Christian defeated Lane Howard of Hewitt-Trussville 8-4 in the No. 5 singles’ match. Connor Brewton of Briarwood Christian fell to Davis McNeal of Hewitt-Trussville 8-5 in the No. 6 singles’ match.

Russell and Hancock fell to Barnes and Tipper 9-8 (7-3) in the No. 1 doubles’ match. Taylor and Kuyk defeated Hester and McNeal 8-6 in the No. 2 doubles’ match.

Castellanos and Brewton defeated Howard and Bryant 8-5 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.

Ann Ellison Tarrence of Briarwood Christian fell to Savannah Weber of Hewitt-Trussville 8-1 in the No. 3 singles’ match. Lauren Bowers of Briarwood Christian defeated Kelley Ward of Hewitt-Trussville 9-7 in the No. 4 singles’ match.

Sellers Mulvaney of Briarwood Christian defeated Kayla O’Barr of Hewitt-Trussville 9-8 (7-1) in the No. 5 singles’ match. Ashton Henderson of Briarwood Christian defeated Callie Diszak of Hewitt-Trussville 8-3 in the No. 6 singles’ match.
