Velma Brinsfield, age 94, beloved wife of Albert, died on Monday, March 12, 2012. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m., Friday, March 16, 2012 at Bolton Funeral Home with Neal Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Alabama National Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Bolton Funeral Home. She was devoted to her church, United Church of God, Birmingham.

Mrs. Brinsfield is survived by her husband of 60 years, Albert Brinsfield; brother, Craig Sharpe of Willingboro, New Jersey; daughters, Natalie Moore (Walker), Madeline Krumenauer (Harry) and Charlotte Bryan (Lamar); five grandchildren, that will forever cherish her memory and her example of great courage through adversity, Kirsten Johnson, Kelly Smith, Scott Moore, Stephanie Hopkins and Rebecca Moore; great-grandchildren, Savannah, Madeline and Anna; and numerous other family and friends.
