Jaguars fall to Vestavia Hills in tennis match

The Spain Park High School boys’ tennis team fell to Vestavia Hills 8-1 in high school tennis action March 28.

Jack Nicholas of Spain Park fell to Jeffrey Holcombe of Vestavia Hills 6-3, 6-2 in the No. 1 singles’ match. Will Hartsock of Spain Park fell to Leo Richard of Vestavia Hills 6-0, 6-3 in the No. 2 singles’ match.

Brit Sovic of Spain Park fell to John Morson  of Vestavia Hills 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 3 singles’ match. Whalen Merrill of Spain Park fell to Caleb Cantrell of Vestavia Hills 6-4, 6-4 in the No. 4 singles’ match.

Connor Rains of Spain Park dropped the No. 5 singles’ match against Jack Patton of Vestavia Hills by forfeit. Sam Lorino of Spain Park defeated Paul Taylor of Vestavia Hills 6-2, 7-5 in the No. 6 singles’ match.

Nicholas and Hartsock fell to Holcombe and Morson 10-4 in the No. 1 doubles’ match. Sovic and Merrill fell to Richard and Cantrell 10-3 in the No. 2 doubles’ match.

Rains and Lorino fell to Taylor and Patton 10-4 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.
