Rachel Elizabeth Hughes, age 16, of Montevallo passed away Monday, March 26, 2012.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Martha Elizabeth Thornton and Thomas Alonza Thornton Jr; grandmother; great-grandparents, Loraine and Daniel W. Buchanan and William C. Hughes and Dorothy Hughes.

She is survived by father, John W. Hughes (Tracey); mother, Donna Duarte (Filiberto); sisters, Kayde Hughes, Jessica Hughes, Emily Hughes and Teresa Duarte; brothers, Joshua W. Hughes, Steven Luis Duarte, Filiberto Duarte Jr, and Matthew C. Hughes; and grandparents, Brenda K. and Johnny C. Hughes.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 31, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home Montevallo. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Terry Palmer officiating. Burial to follow in Shelby Memory Gardens.
