The Chelsea High School girls’ soccer team defeated Southside-Gadsden 2-0 in the Birmingham Metro tournament March 29.

Stephanie LaBeau and Maya Hughes led the Hornets with one goal each in the victory.

Mara Roberts and Britne Holderby finished with one assist each.

Chelsea goalkeeper Ashleigh Niven, who recorded three saves, set a new school record with her 12th shutout of the season.
