Jaguars top Briarwood Christian

The Spain Park High School baseball team defeated Briarwood Christian 11-6 in high school baseball action March 31.

Josh Rich led the Jaguars at the plate as he finished 2-for-4 with a homer. Rich drove in one run and scored one run in the victory.

Mikey White, who drove in two runs and scored two runs, finished 2-for-4 at the plate with a double. Will McDonald, who drove in one run and scored one run, went 2-for-4 at the plate.

Hunter Hall, who drove in one run and scored one run, finished 1-for-4 at the plate. Paul Angel, who drove in two runs and scored one run, went 1-for-3 with a triple. Hunter Kahn, who drove in one run and scored one run, finished 1-for-3 at the plate. Jon Sumner finished 1-for-3 at the plate with a double and drove in one run.

Colton Freeman drove in one run and scored one run. Brandon Bilek scored two runs. Peyton Walsh scored one run.

Johnathon Crawford earned the win on the mound after giving up six runs, including five earned runs, on six hits with one strikeout and three walks in 2 2/3 innings.

Trey Hawker recorded three strikeouts and didn’t give up a hit in 3 1/3 innings in relief.

Carter Tyra led Briarwood Christian at the plate as he finished 1-for-4 with a double. Tyra drove in two runs and scored one run.

Daniel Robert, who drove in two runs and scored one run, went 1-for-3 at the plate. Ben Craft finished 1-for-3 at the plate. Matthew Furuto went 1-for-3 at the plate and scored one run. Ethan Simmons finished 1-for-3 at the plate. Brayden Housel finished 1-for-1 at the plate and scored one run.

Cole Pearson drove in one run and scored one run. Tanner Cunningham scored one run.

Jake Bracewell took the loss after giving up seven earned runs in six hits with two strikeouts and two walks in two innings.

Housel gave up two runs, including one earned run, on two hits in three innings in relief. Cunningham gave up two earned runs on two hits with one walk in one inning in relief.
