The jargon of medical and physical supplies is part of Jake Ellis’ everyday life.

Catheters, CPAP supplies, wheelcharis, crutches, walkers, oxygen tanks, refills and oxygenators, braces, soft casts, orthopedic supplies, scrubs and nursing supplies, diabetic and heart testing materials are just a few of the products with which Ellis deals.

Starting out with Mash Medical more than eight years ago as a delivery technician setting up and repairing medical equipment, Ellis is now the purchasing agent and is involved with inside sales and even makes calls on some doctors.

“I love to help people of all age groups because in a lifetime, practically everyone will need a medical product of some kind,” he said.

Unfortunately, our economy has made it harder for some people to acquire the necessities they need for their daily lives. Mash works to be extremely competitive with their prices, and do their very best to meet the basic needs of everyone who requires assistance from them.

Ellis’ priority is to find time for his wife, Robin Tidmore Ellis, and daughters, Lexi (almost 4) and Riley (almost 3).

After dating for seven years, the Ellis’ eloped to Las Vegas to be married. Looks like the future holds soccer, dance and pre-school. Loving and being with his family, outdoor sports, all kinds of music and family trips are a big plus for Jake Ellis.

“There is definitely a Disney cruise in the future — when the girls are a bit older and can remember the trip” said Ellis.

His parents are Bob and Barbara Lindsey, who studied at seminary while Jake finished his last two years of high school. He was born with early raising in Maryland, then to Virginia and graduation from Heritage High in 1997. A few classes at Central Virginia Community College led to several restaurant jobs. Soon, Ellis was in Covington, Ga. with Buffalo Southwest Café.

In 2003 his traveling job led to Pelham, where he met his beautiful wife, Robin. They have involvement with Pelham Church of God and Kingwood Church. Ellis also supports his parents’ efforts at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Winber, Penn.

Although born a “yankee,” Ellis loves the South — Alabama in particular. Smart guy!
