Eagles split doubleheader with First Assembly

The Hope Christian School softball team split a doubleheader with First Assembly Christian in high school softball action April 2.

The Eagles won the opening game 16-0.

Abby Patton led the Eagles with a homer in the victory. Patton drove in four runs in the win.

Samantha Rowley, Glennleigh Boyd and Kathleen Clark finished with one hit each.

Clark drove in two runs in the win. Rachel Rettig and Amanda Rowley drove in one run each.

Walker earned the win in the circle after recording 11 strikeouts in a four-inning complete game.

Hope Christian fell to First Assembly Christian 9-8 in the nightcap.

Samantha Rowley led the Eagles with a homer. Rowley drove in four runs.

Amanda Rowley and Brianna Thompson finished with one hit each.

Amanda Rowley started in the circle and struck out six batters in four innings. Walker, who finished with one strikeout, took the loss in relief.
