Jaguars defeat Auburn in tennis match

The Spain Park High School boys’ tennis team defeated Auburn 6-3 in high school tennis action April 2.

The Jaguars won four of six singles’ matches and two of three doubles’ matches against Auburn.

Jack Nicholas of Spain Park defeated Ataman Billor of Auburn 10-6 in the No. 1 singles’ match. Will Hartsock of Spain Park fell to Andrew Hays of Auburn 10-8 in the No. 2 singles’ match.

Brit Sovic of Spain Park defeated Jake Jerome of Auburn 10-8 in the No. 3 singles’ match. Whalen Merrill of Spain Park defeated Nathan Smith of Auburn 10-4 in the No. 4 singles’ match.

Baylor Cocke of Spain Park fell to Jake Rose of Auburn 10-4 in the No. 5 singles’ match. Sam Lorino of Spain Park defeated Brian Lee of Auburn 10-3 in the No. 6 singles’ match.

Nicholas and Hartsock defeated Hays and Jermone 10-0 in the No. 1 doubles’ match. Sovic and Merrill fell to Smith and Billor 10-4 in the No. 2 doubles’ match.

Cocke and Lorino defeated Lee and Justin Yeh of Auburn 10-6 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.
