PHS student drowns in residential pool

Helena Police said they suspect no foul play after an 18-year-old Pelham High School student drowned in a residential pool.

Police said Tyler Daniel Stubbs accidentally drowned in his family’s swimming pool off Stubbs Drive in Helena. Police discovered Stubbs after receiving a report of a drowning on the afternoon of April 2.

“No foul play is suspected, but the case will remain open pending the report from the coroner’s and medical examiner’s offices,” Helena Deputy Police Chief Tim Carter wrote in a press release.
