The Pelham High School baseball team defeated Oak Mountain 8-6 in an Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 6A, Area 10 contest April 3.

Hunter Stovall led the Panthers offensively as he finished 2-for-3 at the plate. Stovall drove in two runs and scored one run in the victory.

Thomas Lowery drove in two runs in the win.

Hunter Soleymani earned the win on the mound after giving up six runs on six hits with five strikeouts and two walks in six innings.

Lowery picked up the save after giving up just one hit and recording two strikeouts in one inning in relief.

David Dahl led the Eagles offensively as he finished 3-for-4 with a homer. Dahl drove in three runs.

Barrett Gossett, who drove in two runs and scored one run, went 1-for-4 at the plate with a double. Austin Howard finished 1-for-1 at the plate and scored one run.

Justin Hoyt took the loss after giving up eight runs, including five earned runs, on five hits with one strikeout and three walks in 3 1/3 innings.
