The Shelby County High School softball team defeated West Blocton 8-0 in high school softball action April 3.

Kaitlyn Paschall led the Wildcats offensively as she finished 4-for-4 at the plate. Paschall blasted her fifth homer of the season in the victory.

Courtney Shields went 3-for-4 at the plate. Brittany Lansford and Brianna Buie each finished 2-for-4 at the plate. Victoria Adams scored two runs in the victory.

Paschall earned the win in the circle after giving up just three hits with seven strikeouts and one walk in a complete-game victory.
