The Spain Park High School softball team edged Vestavia Hills 2-1 in high school softball action April 3.

Madi Gipson led the Jaguars offensively as she finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and scored one run in the victory.

Brittany Anderson finished 1-for-2 at the plate and drove in two runs. Mary Kathryn Bonamy went 1-for-3 at the plate and scored one run.

Bonamy earned the win in the circle after giving up just one earned run on six hits with two walks in a complete-game victory.
