Pro Circuit Challenger schedule set

The Pelham Racquet Club will host its annual $25,000 Pro Circuit Challenger tournament April 8-15.

The field is scheduled to include Coco Vandeweghe, one of the top professional women’s tennis players in America.

The tournament begins Sunday, April 8 with qualifying, which continues April 9. The Pro-Am will take place April 9 at 4:30 p.m., with a player’s dinner following.

The main draw will run April 10-13. Feature matches will take place April 10 at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. and April 12-13 at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

The singles’ semifinal matches and doubles’ championship matches will take place Saturday, April 14. The singles’ championship matches wrap up the tournament April 15.

Tuesday, April 10 is Legacy Credit Union Night. Thursday, April 12 is Rick and Bubba Night.

The schedule on Friday, April 13 includes a free kid’s clinic, with free hot dog and coke for all kids, at 5 p.m. and raffles until the 6:30 p.m. feature match.
