Sheriff’s office increases reward in missing person case

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is increasing the reward for information that helps solve the case of a missing woman.

Carrie Elaine Gentry, of Chelsea, has been missing since March 29.

The reward has been doubled to $10,000. Sheriff’s investigators are looking for information about Gentry’s whereabouts or the location of her automobile, a silver 2002 Lexus RX300 with an Alabama tag reading 58G19T1.

All calls and online tip submissions are anonymous. Anyone supplying information does not need to give his or her name and may receive a cash reward if the submitted tip helps investigators solve the case.
