Erline Bristow Mayew born April 3, 1925 and went to be with the Lord on April 9, 2012. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Bolton Funeral Home with Rev. Samuel Robeff officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 11, 2012, from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton Funeral Home. She was retired from Shelby County, chief clerk of Probate Judge Bulley Fowler for many years. Life-long member of The Church of God. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all.

Mrs. Mayhew is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Mayhew; parents, Estelle and Henry Bristow; sisters, Faye Etress, Ena Mae Pate and Emma Dell Higginbotham; brothers, Alvin Bristow and Henry Bristow Jr. She is survived by daughter, Carole Robeff (Sam) of North Carolina; son, Larry Doss (Dana) of Columbiana; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and numerous other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
