CHELSEA – The 11th annual Hoover/Shelby County Art Show will find a new home in Chelsea April 28.

The show, which is typically held at Heardmont Park, will be held at Chelsea City Hall from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

“The Chelsea City Hall is a very nice place, and a lot of people have events there. It’s just a really nice place,” said Bob Burns, member of the Hoover/Shelby County Art Association. “They had looked at Veterans Park, but that’s crowded too, and it was pretty expensive. We have to move the art show, and have moved it.”

The show will feature 20 to 25 local artists.

“It’s a judged show, so there’s not going to be a bunch of crazy stuff there,” Burns said. “There will be arts as well as crafts, oil, acrylic, mixed media, water color and jewelry. They’re really incredible artists.”

Chelsea City Hall is located at 1161 Chelsea Road. Parking and admission are free for the art show.
