The Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders’ 2012 Parade of Homes, which will be held April 21-22 and April 28-29, will include several showcase houses in several cities across Shelby County.

Nearly 100 homes are included in the tour, which includes homes throughout the Birmingham metropolitan area. The homes are separated into 18 “villages,” said Parade of Homes Chairman Alicia Huey.

“To be a village, a community has to have at least three homes entered in the parade,” Huey said. “That’s a convenience for home buyers since they can see several homes in one stop.”

The parade includes a home on Barkley Lane in Alabaster, houses on Drayton Way and Eagle Ridge Lane in Birmingham and houses on Enclave Avenue, Enclave Lane, Waterstone Court, Emerald Ridge Drive and Crisfield Circle in Calera.

Houses on Normandy Lane, Regent Park Drive, Dunsmore Drive, Highland Village Trail and Lake Chelsea Court in Chelsea are on the tour, as is a home on Greenbrier Way in Hoover.

Homes on Village Place, Village Way, Oxford Way, Carnoustie Drive, Dunrobin Cover and Strathaven Drive in Pelham round out the list of Shelby County houses on the tour.

The tour includes new homes ranging from 1,000-square-feet to more than 4,000-square feet.

“We’ll have something for everyone, whether you’re looking for a starter home or need more room for a growing family, you can find it at the Parade of Homes,” said Association of Home Builders Executive Vice President Bart Fletcher.
