Josephine Elizabeth Varden, age 84, of Montevallo, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2012 in Alabaster.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Fannie McCulley; sister, Jeanette Puckett; and nephew, Maxwell Puckett.

Josephine is survived by her husband of 60 years, Henry F. Varden; son, Dwayne Varden; daughter, Karen White (Travis); sister, Vivian Price (Paul); grandchildren, Wendy Dibble (Jeff) and Scott Doss (Belinda); and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Saturday, April 14, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home Montevallo. Funeral services were held Sunday, April 15, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Draper officiating. Burial followed at Enon Cemetery.
