Ralph Jackson Douglas Jr., 80, of Vincent passed away April 24, 2012.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 25 from 6-9 p.m. at Sterrett Church of God of Prophecy. Funeral service will be Thursday, April 26 at 2 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

Mr. Douglas is survived by his wife, Una Faye Douglas; five sons, Jack Douglas (Jerri), Andy Douglas (Sharon), Tim Douglas (Ann), John Douglas (Rena) and Phillip Douglas (Traccy); two daughters, Nancy Douglas and Glenda Goicochea (Elvy); two brothers, Tom Douglas and Bill Douglas; two sisters, Betty Hall and Carolyn Sandlin; 13 grandchildren, Damian, Sira, Stephanie Langley, Jacqueline Garrett, Andrew Douglas, Jay Douglas, John C. Douglas, Wesley Douglas, Blake Douglas, Dewayne Douglas, Chase Douglas, Jessica Douglas, Anna Douglas and Grant Douglas; and five great-grandchildren, Joseph Douglas, Jaxon Garrett, Katelyn Langley, Boston Douglas and Noah Douglas.

He was a wonderful father and a great husband. He worked and retired from the State of Alabama after 27 years. He served in the Army during the Korean War, and he was a minister in the Church of God of Prophecy.
