Shelby County Highway 47, also known as Chelsea Road, is now open to traffic, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.

The highway was closed due to a motor vehicle accident, according to a press release that was issued on Sunday, April 29 around 5:40 p.m. Traffic was rerouted on Shelby County Highway 438, also known as Liberty Road, and Shelby County Highway 39.

Drivers in the area are still encouraged to take caution in the area of the accident.
