Shirley Ann Howard, age 72, a resident of Ashland, passed away at home on Monday, April 30, 2012 with family after a long battle with cancer. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Bolton Funeral Home with Rev. Richard East officiating. Burial will follow at Pierce Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 2, 2012, from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Howard is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Howard. She is survived by her children, Danny Howard (Debra), Patricia Hooks (John), Sidney Howard (Ellen), Rickey Howard (Tanya) and Michael Howard (Barbara); 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.
