Eagles edge Chelsea

The Oak Mountain High School softball team edged Chelsea 3-2 in high school softball action May 1.

Caroline Seitz led the Eagles offensively as she finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a triple. Seitz drove in one run and finished with one stolen base in the victory.

Chloe Yeager went 2-for-3 at the plate and drove in one run. Madeline Porter finished 1-for-3 at the plate and drove in one run.

Hannah Griffin and Kailey Boone each finished 1-for-4 at the plate in the win.

Anne Thomaston, who earned the win in the circle, finished with two strikeouts in three innings.

Leah Reeve finished with four strikeouts in four innings.

Caitlin Bice led Chelsea offensively as she finished 2-for-4 at the plate with a double.

Amanda Mock went 1-for-3 at the plate with a double. Erin Jones finished 1-for-2 at the plate and drove in one run. Kacie Craft went 1-for-3 at the plate. Jo Jo Johnston drove in one run.

Bice, who took the loss in the circle, finished with one strikeout in a complete game.
