Red Cross headquarters to hold open house

INDIAN SPRINGS — The American Red Cross is showing off its new regional headquarters and donation center.

The Red Cross will hold a grand opening, ribbon cutting and open house at its regional headquarters and donation center in Indian Springs on May 23.

The donation center is located at 700 Caldwell Trace.

The event will be from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The ribbon cutting will be at 4:30 p.m., followed by tours of the new facility and “A Taste of Indian Springs,” featuring vendors such as Brava, Shane’s Rib Shack, Bruster’s Ice Cream and Winn Dixie.

“We are truly excited about the new facility and our ability to locate to a site that is more convenient for more of our donors,” said Mark Beddingfield, regional chief executive officer, in a press release. “The new facility is the perfect fit for our region, and we’re excited about the way in which this move will position us for future successes in fulfilling the mission of our organization.”

Hours at the new donation center will be noon-8 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays; 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays; and 7 a.m.-1 p.m. on Fridays.
