Donald E. King, 54, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 25, 2012. He resided in Chelsea for 53 years, where he was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held at Liberty Baptist Church at 2 p.m. on May 28, 2012 followed by his burial at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held between 12-2 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, Carl Wilson King, Sr. and Edna Ruth Whalen King; brothers, Richard King, Sr. (Rusty) and Carl King, Jr. (Bud). Don spent 26 years actively involved at the Shelby County Sheriffs Office, where he was a deputy and a lieutenant investigator. He is survived by his wife, Lori Niven King; daughters, Cynthia King Jarrett (Kevin) and Kristen Marie King; sister, Nancy Lynette King Shirley (Donald); brothers, John Terry King, Sr. (Faye) and Robert Farrell King, Sr. (Donna); mother-in-law, Carolyn Kendrick Niven; sisters-in-law, Sandra King and Linda King; brothers-in-law, Mark David Niven, Gary Russell Niven (Monica) and Karl Shane Niven, as well as many other wonderful family and friends.
