Kate Seale Davis, age 90, a resident of Calera passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2012. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Bolton Funeral Home, Columbiana with Rev. Terry Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery, Calera. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2012 at the Bolton Funeral Home, Columbiana. Mrs. Davis is preceded in death by her parents, Winfred and Lucille Whatley Seale; her husband, Joseph Crawford; sisters, Fannie Ballard, Nina Aldridge and Joyce Seale; granddaughter, Laurie Ann Cox.

Kate Davis was known for her smile and sweet spirit. She was a lifelong faithful member of Calera First United Methodist Church and retired from the recording office at the Shelby County Courthouse. Kate was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Montevallo Chapter.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Arthur Davis; daughter, Katie Cox; grandson, John B. Cox (Dee Ann); precious great-grandchildren, John B. Cox III and Elizabeth Cox; dear friend, Micheline Davis; and many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
